Cost and Payment

Cost
$50.00
MindfulPath is a Not-for-Profit Organisation and it works in partnership with other community organisations to deliver lower cost mindfulness programmes in Thames.

This very low price of $50.00 has been made possible by the Thames Community Centre's commitment to making education accessible to all and in growing well-being initiatives in our community (usual cost $200.00)

NB Cost is set in conjunction with the other local provider/s and will be a reflection of their current resources - this means it may vary slightly from course to course, but it will always be a moderate price that is a realistic response to community needs.

Scholarships: Please ask about my community support initiative for those requiring financial assistance to help them attend this course.  I am very happy to talk with you about flexible payment options and reduced rates as well as full scholarships.

Retake: Anyone who has been enrolled in a full 6 week introductory course is invited to join a future course for a much-reduced cost at any time that the programme is running with spare places (without hard copy handouts given). Please email if you are interested in this offer.

Weekly  Format

The maximum class size is 10 and participants sit on chairs in a group semi-circle during presentation of material and discussion. This is combined with different weekly examples of simple movement exercises such as slow walking, stretching or lying on the ground if you wish.

Each week there will be periods of silent sitting and guided attention practices that gradually lengthen to 15 or 20 minutes.

Weekly handouts that summarise and extend the day's information build up into a comprehensive file, while a weekly email summaries the previous day's teachings and gives practice suggestions and support along with references, further reading, websites and video/audio links where useful.
FAQ

 A Skills Training Programme

This is a skills training course - participants are asked to seriously consider making a commitment to building up to at least 15 minutes per day to a regular practice. Each week a new guided practice is introduced that can be used at home. In order to receive the full benefit from this initial programme it is important that you be ready to look at establishing a home/workplace routine to master and build on each new skill.
The more time you can spend practising and consolidating the skills each day the greater impact they will have on your mental states and subsequent well-being.
